Reinhardt thanked the Board for their t=
ime
and effort put into this budget.
She talked about she was not able to put the time into reviewing the
budget that she would have liked.
She further talked about cross-training employees to cover positions=
or heavy
workloads. She used an exampl=
e of
the open planning position and using someone in the mapping department or R=
egister
of Deeds’ office to help with that workload. She talked about taking employees =
in
different departments to help in areas when the workloads are heavier. She reiterated that she is asking =
the
Board to look at cross-training employees.

County Manager Don Adams summarized the budget ordinance for =
FY 2009-2010. He reviewed each fund’s
highlights including the revenues and expenses, budget officer authorizatio=
ns
and restrictions, capital project funds and utilization of the budget and
budget ordinance. =

Miller made a motion to approve the FY2009/2010 budget ordinance. Commissioner Doug

County Manager Don Adams presented the pay grade plan additio=
n for
the position of Inspector (I, II)—Planner at a grade 66. He explained the purpose of the add=
ition.

because this is taking two positions into one.

Commissioner Doug Murphy and County Manager Don Adams discussed QZAB conversations that th=
e County Manager
had with the Local Government Commission about additional opportunities for
QZAB money but the problem is finding banks that are willing to fund the QZ=
AB projects.

no further business, Commissioner Steve Roten made a motion to adjourn the
