The Alleghany County Board of Commissioners and the Alleghany Board = of Education met in special session on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 5:30pm in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the County Administration Building, 348 S= outh Main Street, Sparta, North

The Alleghany County Board of Commissioners reconvened the meeting from Monday,= April 20, 200= 9, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at 6:= 00pm in the Board Meeting Room of the County Administration Building, 348 South Main Street, Sparta, North Caro= lina.

Present: Chair Ken Richardson, Vice-Chair <= st1:PersonName w:st=3D"on">Randy Miller, Commissioner Doug Murphy, Commis= sioner Milly Richardson, Commissioner Steve Roten and County Manager Don Adams. County Attorney Donna Shumate and Clerk to the= Board Karen Evans were absent.

Chair Ken Richardson reconvened the meeting at 6:00pm.

The Board of Commissioners and County Manager Don Adams discussed the health insurance renewal at an 8.3% increase over the current year.

The Board of Commissioners and County Manager Don Adams discussed the workers compensation and property/liability insurance.

County Manager Don Adams explained that the County has receiv= ed two bids and is still waiting on a third bid.&= nbsp; He further explained that the deadline for bids was April 15.

Chair Ken Richardson discussed issues raised at the NCACC conference in Iredell County including for counties to n= ot pass their budgets until June 30.

Being no further business, Commissioner Milly Richardson made a motion to adjourn= the meeting at 6:30pm. Commissioner Randy Miller seconded the motion. Vote 5:0.
