Alleghany County Online Forms

Unless otherwise noted, forms are available as PDFs (protable document format), a format that permits download on almost every computer platform (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, ect.). They require that Adobe Reader software. The software is free and computers typically come with it preloaded on computers. Click on the link if you need a copy of Adobe Reader.

Some forms are also available in MS Word, version 97 for Windows. They permit you to complete the form on your computer. (Don't forget to print the completed copy and sign before submitting to the appropriate county department.) However, these forms require that you have MS Word 97 (or a later version) or a word processor that can open MS Word 97 for Windows on your computer.

A few links are to Web pages. They require no software and can be printed directly from your browser.

Forms are grouped by the departments primarily associated with those forms. If you have questions about completing a form, first check the Web page of the department most responsible for the form. If that does not answer your question, you may want to call or email that department. Forms open in a new window. Close that window to return to this page.

You can search for a form by scrolling down the page. Or you can use the following links to jump to grouped under a specific department: Administration, Building Inspection, E911-Mapping, Elections, Emergency Management, Finance Office, Planning and Recreation, Register of Deeds, and Tax Office.
