Welcome to the Alleghany In Motion, Alleghany County's Community Transportation Program web site. AIM is a department of Alleghany County Government. The mission of AIM is to provide quality community transportation service that is efficient and responsive to the current and changing needs of Alleghany County residents. AIM began operations a consolidated transportation system November 1, 2001. AIM serves the transportation needs of Alleghany governmental and non-profit agencies and their clients, as well as to the general public on a fee basis. AIM books reservations for and provides Public Transportation services within and to destinations outside of Alleghany County. These include: General Public Transportation, Medical Transportation, Elderly and Disabled Transportation, Human Service Transportation, Employment Transportation, and Department of Social Services Medicaid Transportation Services. We welcome the opportunity to assist you with your transportation needs. Our office is open Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Reservations or requests may be left on our answering machine after hours, weekends, and holidays. It is the policy of AIM to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: 49 CFR, Part 21,; that no person shall be discriminated against because of color, religious belief, race, gender, age, national origin, or disability from any services provided by the use of federal funds from the United States Dept of Transportation.
